I would like a videographer for the 27th March 2010 for an evening – late event.

Location:- Worthing

Date:- 27th March 2010

Time:- 7:30 – midnight TBC

Event :- Full contact fighting sort – kickboxing

Requirements:- to produce a DVD of each fight, with some branding of the event, that can be sold to the fighter(s) and spectators. DVD to be priced around £25.00.

Either sold and supplied on the night (higher price excepted) or sold and posted to the client later £25.00

Event organizer to receive a percentage of the takings (normally 10%)

January Network Meeting

Wednesday 27^th January marks the first Network Meeting of the new year. We will be trying something a little different this time. We are bringing along a screen and projector to give you the opportunity to show some of your work during the meeting. If you have a trailer, a short film (no longer than 15 minutes), or even just a scene, and you would like to test your work with an audience and talk a bit about it then please let me know. The screening section will last no longer than an hour so slots will be filled by whoever gets back to me first. The rest of the meeting will run as usual so if you’ve got any ideas or projects to pitch, you’ll still be able to do that.

As usual the network starts at 7.30pm at the Burlington Hotel in Worthing.

As the wealth and survival of traditional media businesses are built on selling precious copies, the free flow of free copies is undermining the established order. If reproductions of media are free, how can we keep on financing films and how can we find value in the media we create and sell?

WorthingThing is a community site for people from Worthing and the surrounding areas. I have set up a Worthing Film Network group there but I’m getting a bit lonely, so come and join in. Producer needed for trailer-cum-short film

I’m looking for a Producer for a trailer-cum-short film for an upcoming feature biopic of Thomas Sayers, the Brighton-born, first heavyweight boxing champion of the world. Are you a Producer, or do you know a white-hot local Producer who’d be right for this project? I need someone with good local contacts for non-camera crew and locations, (eg. south downs area, Amberley Museum, Victorian or pre-Victorian pubs, parlour pubs, shops, houses etc.) Shoot dates provisionally pencilled for Jan 2010. It goes without saying that I need somebody (or a jobshare pairing) who has commitment and focus that can match the quality needed for this period piece. A tall order maybe, considering I can pay national minimum wage to all grades.
